Partition of Property Claims

When a co-owner refuses to agree to sell a property, there are avenues to force the sale. In British Columbia, the Partition of Property Act allows any interested party in jointly owned land (like tenants in common, joint tenants, or even creditors) to force a sale or physical division (partition) of the property if co-owners disagree.

Our team of estate lawyers regularly file Petitions in the Supreme Court of BC and proceed to Chambers for a court ordered sale.
