Van graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Immunology & Molecular Genetics before attaining her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, where she was the recipient of the Jurisprudence Award for Civil Procedure and made the Dean’s List each semester.
While in law school, Van volunteered to help domestic abuse victims through the Battered Women’s Clinic. Van practiced in California for several years prior to moving to BC.
Van was born in Orange County and grew up in Los Angeles rooting for her beloved Lakers. She enjoys exploring new places, going on food adventures, snowboarding, basketball, and all things outdoors.
